Applications are invited for a PhD position in the Food Innovation and Engineering (FoodIE) group at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Spain). The candidate will work in a project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) and will address the “Encapsulation of food grade aromas and bioactive compounds using dinamic or low-cost ceramic membranes” (Project CTQ2014-54520-P).

Requirements for candidates;

  • Diploma and Master Degree in Food Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy with above average results.
  • Candidates must have good laboratory skills and a excellent knowledge of the English language
    (spoken and written / proficiency level).

The candidate will be contractually employed by Universitat Rovira i Virgili on a temporary basis for 4 years and will be covered under the social security scheme. Financial support will cover salary, internships and tuition fees for the doctoral programme at Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
