The growing demand for food will further strain natural resources

Professor Jesús Simal, recognized expert from the University of Vigo and coordinator of the innovative SOSFood project, emphasizes that this initiative has as its main goal the creation of avant-garde solutions in the field of food.

These solutions will be transformed into decision-making tools that will be adjusted to the various levels of the food system, allowing customization according to the context and the specific needs of each user.

The SOSFood project is presented as a consortium that integrates 17 entities from different regions of Europe, under the direction of the University of Vigo. This ambitious project arises from the collaboration between the University of Vigo, the Datalife digital innovation hub and the University of Santiago de Compostela. The University of Vigo leads this initiative through the Agricultural and Food Research Group, under the direction of Professor Jesús Simal.
